He was silent as a snake in the grass, or in this case, a dog in the grass. A doberman rottweiler mix to be exact. He was a wild dog that ran with a wild pack consisting of himself and his mate, Moonstone. He smiled at the thought of her. What a beautiful maiden that shepherd was. She was an australian shepherd. Her eyes were her best feature, aside from her personality. Her eyes, well, one was brown, the other a misty grey. It wasn't uncommon for her breed, but it still amazed him. He snapped back into reality and growled at the distraction. He focused firmly on the house he was creeping up upon. His eyes were focused on the house, but his mind was on the trash cans next to it. He hadn't had much luck hunting, and so he was desperate to feed his mate. He trotted toward the cans and lifted on his back legs, accidently pushing the trash can over. He jumped away with a savage snarl at the clattering sound it made and found that it wasn't a threat, just a loud noise. He walked over to it cautiously, sniffing at the rainbow of smells that rested in the air. He started to scavange.

Out back, Rae was sitting on the porch with the horses. Her head was tilted back as her skin took in all the sun it could. It was still quite chilly outside. The sun made it all worth it. Suddenly, the silence was disturbed by a clatter. Cobe and Jinx bolted at the sound. Well what could have happened out front? Rae's eyebrows furrowed, and small frown pulled at the sides of her lips. Cobe and Jinx were standing close together in one corner of the garden, their sides heaving because of their sudden sprint. Raising herself to her feet, Rae brushed her skinny jeans off and headed out through the yard gate to the front of the house. Her trash can was overturned and spilled out the little it had in it. After all she had only been there for a day. Brushing strands of hair out of her face she stepped forward. That was until Raelyn caught a glimpse of a truely big dog. From the looks of it, a Rottweiler or a Doberman. Who knew, maybe it could be both. She stopped short and watched the obviously hungry dog search through her garbage. Nothing in their was good. Hands on her hips, Rae's eyes flickered back between the dog and her house. It wouldn't hurt to feed the poor thing something worthwhile would it?
"Hey,"
Her strong but gentle voice crooned at the dog. The blone haired girl crouched, her elbows resting on her knees and her hands dangling between her legs.
"You don't want that, I'll go get you something."
So she was up and strode up her driveway, past her pickup truck and into the house. Back she came with some steak she had cooked the other night but hadn't had time to eat. Oh well, it wasn't as if she couldn't run up the road and get something else.
"Here,"
She offered the dog, staying at a nice distance of about ten yards. Throwing it in between the distance. He needn't come close if he didn't want to.

He couldn't smell the approching human with his nose snuffling through the garbage. 'Hey' he heard the voice and jolted with surprise. He backed out of the can and saw the human. His body tensed immediately as he turned toward her, shoulders alined to hers. His muscles were tensed, ready to lauch him into an attack if she dare came too close, if she tried to touch him, or posed a threat to him. He let out a loud growl of warning as his brown eyes blazed with both worry and self-protection. Then she disappeared. He tilted his head. Then she reappeared so suddenly that Tank couldn't help but snarl. Then he smelled something and his snarl stopped. He rose his muzzle slightly, taking in the new aroma. Food! Good food. Waited to see what she would do with it. It plopped to the ground in front of him, half way between the human and himself. He gave a warning growl as he stocked forward and, keeping his eyes on her, sniffed the meat and snapped his jaws on it. His eyes flickered with kindness before he turned and ran back into the nearby forest. --- Morning came and went and Tank reappeared at the house. He did a quick recon, searching for the girl that had given him food. When he didn't find her, he growled irritably. He heard a whinny and his head jolted toward a fenced area. Inside, he saw two horses. He tilted his head. He'd never really seen a horse before and he was curious. He crawled through the fences and sniffed the air. The smell of horse was heavy. Then he saw the large animals and tilted his head. He growled softly. They were so big. He snorted and started for the house. He was careful, this time, to not tip over the garbage and he snuffled through it again. He whined as he found nothing good for Moon.

The big doberman mix took the meat with a snap of his powerful jaws, still the young girl didn't move. She wasn't stupid after all. His eyes seemed to flicker with something human, or not so human anymore. Kindness or thanks. Didn't happen much in the human world, not since manners and everything had failed to be taught. It was a sad thing. Almost as soon as the dog had retrieved his food, he bolted for the forest. Apparently the food wasn't for him. Shrugging Rae got to her feet slowly and entered her house. There was still so much to do before Monday came around. It was Saturday, so time to get down to business. All morning calls were made, applications sent... it was a busy day for Rae but she didn't mind all that much. It was better than being bored.
-Time Lapse-
Earlier Rae had headed out to grab some supplies for the horses. They were running low on grain and hay, so the young blonde had gotten in her pick up truck and gotten some. What she didn't expect was a huge dog snuffling through her trash can yet again, this time it wasn't overturned. Thank goodness. It had been a real pain to get that cleaned up. Bailey was locked inside, it was a good thing too. This dog was feral and therefore unpredictable. Rae just couldn't have her beloved little girl getting hurt. Climbing out of the pickup truck, Rae slowly approached the dog.
"Hey there bud, what's up? Where do you belong?"
No she didn't expect an answer, but she said the words in such calming tones that maybe the dog would be okay with her.

Tank looked at the girl, his long tail wagging slowly. He was kind of hoping for more food. That's what happened in a wild animal's mind. You feed them once and they keep coming back for more food. But suddenly, the dog lifted his lips and snarled, his muscles going rigid. Behind him was his mate, the reason why he was at this human place in the first place. The dog didn't stop and just padded warily past the human and nuzzling Tank who couldn't help but nuzzle her back. Her sides had shrank dramatically. "What?" he growled. "They're born? Where are they? Why aren't you protecting them!?" Tank growled at the she-dog. "They're safe." he muttered. She turned to the human and padded up to her, Tank standing guard with a warning growl rumbling deep in his chest, telling the human that if she dare hurt Moon that there would be hell to pay.
