The Outside
Name: Benjamin Age: Five Gender: Male Breed: Beagle Hound Clan/pack/herd etc: None, Currently.
The Inside Eye color: Brown. Pelt color: White, Tan, and Black Full description: Benjamin is a full stock, pure bred Beagle Hound. As such, he looks a lot like most other Beagle Hounds. He is a small to medium sized dog, depending on how you look at him. Starting from his face, he is pretty cute. His whole head is a light tan color, his nose is deep black. But around his muzzle are shades of white, indicators of age, though he is not old. His last year on the street has been very hard on him. His eyes are large and deep brown, once they were used to beg for chocolate.. Now they are used to search for any scraps he can find. Moving down his body, the back of his neck and his shoulders are the same color as his head. His flanks are as well. His back and sides are black. Under his stomach, inside his legs, and all four of his paws are white. Or at least they were. Now they are stained brown and red, from mud and blood. His tail is black all the way down, until you reach the tip, where it turns white.
Likes: Company Making Friends Living Inside Human Attention Dislikes: Being Alone. Being picked on. Watching other dogs being picked on. Sleeping outside. Full Personality: Sweetheart Despite everything that he has been through recently, Benjamin is still the same ole sweetheart that he has always been. He tries his best not to be mean, and tries to help as much as he can. That being said, though, he won't go too far out of his way for you. He likes to help, but he has a life to worry about too. Insomniac This is a trait that he developed after living on the street for a few days. He worries too much to sleep well, and as such, he always has a haggard and tired look about him. No matter how tired he gets, though, he can never sleep for more than a few hours at a time. Lonely Ben is a lonely guy. He always feel lost, alone, and empty.. Even if he is surrounded by other dogs. He tries not to let it get to him, but it hurts. He misses Sadie, and he can't quite seem to get over it. Depressed Of course having his love ripped away from him would depress him, wouldn't it anybody? She is all he ever thinks about. Benjamin has never cried about, though.. Maybe a deep cry would do him some good, but he refuses. Independent You would think that a dog who had no idea how to go about living on the streets would have looked for help, right? Wrong, not with Ben. He taught himself everything that he knows, and while he isn't the best at living on the streets, he can keep himself alive. Maybe he would try a little harder if he had something to live for. Optimistic Benjamin is actually a very optimistic dog. Despite the fact that he is depressed and lonely, he tries to keep his hopes up, and does a good job of it. Every time that he feels like giving up, he reminds himself of her. He tells himself that he will find her someday, and everything will be alright again. Without this hope, he probably wouldn't be alive today.
Your History Birth Day: April 24th Birth Clan/pack/herd etc: He was born on a farm. Family: Jasmine ( mother ) Presely ( father ) James ( brother ) Jesse ( brother ) Billy ( brother ) History: Benjamin was not born a street dog. In fact, he only recently became one. Benjamin was born on a farm about ten miles from the city. The old couple that had raised his mother and father had raised them for hunting, but didn't watch them closely enough, and that is where Benjamin and his brothers came from. The old couple was kind, though, and allowed the pregnancy to run its course and decided to find good homes for all of the puppies. Benjamin's life on the farm was a happy one. His mother and father were deeply in love, as they had been around each other since they were very young. They played with him and his brothers and were great parents. The old couple were great owners too, and when it came time for Benjamin to go he was very healthy.
He was the last of the pups to be chosen. The woman who came to get him had recently gotten another beagle pup, but she was busy throughout the day and decided that the pup needed a playmate. She was nice enough, and Benjamin really liked her. The car ride home, though, was possibly the worst car ride of his whole life. Not only had he never been in a car, but he was leaving his mommy and daddy. When they arrived at the house, he laid his eyes on Sadie for the first time. His family was never forgotten, but she helped fill the hole.
His life with Sadie and their owner was a good one. She was a very very kind woman, though she was too busy to give them very much attention. The only time she ever raised her voice to them was when they peed or pooped in the floor.
When Benjamin turned four, his life changed forever. His owner could no longer care for he and Sadie, because she got very sick. She put them up for adoption, but said they could only go together. A man came to get them a few days later. Unfortunately, though, he wasn't interested in Benjamin. As soon as they got far enough away, he dropped Benjamin off on the street. Benjamin wandered around for days, trying to find Sadie, but to no avail.
Once he realized that he was never going to find her, he decided to search for his home. Maybe if he came back, his owner would go after the mean man and get Sadie back. But, when he finally reached his old home.. The car was gone out of the driveway, and a new family was moving in. They chased him away.
Ever since then, Ben has lived alone. His whole life has been dedicated to finding Sadie, but he can't even find a trace of her.
