Pure bred and healthy, she is built for speed and agility - all legs and a narrow cage. Her face is wide set and naturally expressive, eyes keen and bright, a true reflection of the mind behind. If she were to have any true noticeable thoughts, it would be that her snout is a hair too broad at the bridge, but it's nothing worth complaining about. She is loyal, to a fault, to Jackson, and rarely strays from his side despite the contradicting urge to explore. She longs to be a social butterfly of sorts; she wants to be a part of the local pack and know that should she wander, there would be familiar - friendly - faces and yet, isn't brave enough to breach the gap. She is frighteningly intelligent - sticking with Jackson not only because he is familiar, but because she knows that she helps him as much as he helps her. Coincidentally, it was the year that Old Blue, the devoted Blue Heeler that helped raise Jackson since the beginning, died. To fill the void and satisfy some need for companionship, Jackson went to the city in search of a dog that could handle the farm life but adapted well. His search brought him to the kennel, and her ginger coat and thoughtful eyes brought him to Madi. He took her home, raised her on the farm like he would have any old farm dog, but there was no doubt that she was -his- dog. A year later, it was just Madi and Jack... At two and twenty-five, the man and his dog made an interesting pair as they tried to make things work. Madi could only stand by and watch as the only place she recognized as home fell down around her, was stripped of all its glory. It was almost more than she could take to watch Jackson turn his back on all they knew. Having watched the light in his eyes fade, she feared for a moment that she too was going to be left behind. But no, with a simple whistle and a disheartened pat of his palm against his dusty, jean-clad thigh, he remembered her. Together, they left the farm, and though she knows things aren't going to magically become better, she has her human and a new chance at making him happy, for and with which she is quite happy.
