The little beagle made his way along, a slight scowl on his face. Benjamin was unhappy. He wasn't cut out for life on the streets, and more than that he was lonely. He missed Sadie, even though it had been a year since the last time he had seen her. He just couldn't get over her. They had grown up together. He missed his human too. He didn't know what had happened to her, or why she let them go with that man and then just disappeared. She had been a good human, always playing with them and taking them for walks. She even let he and Sadie try to have babies, but Sadie couldn't get pregnant. He never knew if it was him or her, but neither of them cared. Yeah, babies would have been nice, but they had each other and that was all that mattered. Their little family of three was happy with each other, and he thought that would never change. But it did, and now he was all alone.
Ben hadn't fared too well on the streets this past year, and that was evident in his body size. His ribs were clearly visible, and his eyes were glazed over a bit, a sign of malnourishment. He didn't know how other dogs did it. Perhaps they were luckier than him. Perhaps they were willing to try harder than him. It was probably the latter. Ben looked around, and then jumped up on a bench that no human was occupying. He looked out into the field, and saw all the dogs with their owners. He sighed a bit.

Stella love to take her two medium sized dogs for walk, or even to a park, though some required a leash. The female parked her Magenta fiesta and got out, bringing her two exited Dog's out of the vehicle. ''Calm girls, you can play soon''. Walking the poodle and Irish setter was no problem, they where obedient and sweet. But still, they where dogs, and exited ones, specially today.
Getting closer to the park are she wanted to be, Stella let her dogs of the leash. Stella sighed, they where a lot of work. All her life she had small dogs, but now with a farm she needed larger dogs, though she wants a smaller dogs in the future, maybe two. Stella looked around, they where in the main park, where mot dog owners let their pets go, though its not a true dog park. She wondered if her pets would make any true dogs friends and .. and. Is that little dog alone?. Stella looked over and noticed a small beagle on a bench, he was skinny and looked bad. Stella was still far from him but he looked as if he needed help. Walking a few steps closer, doing it slowly, Stella knelled down. ''Here doggy? Tik tsik''. Stella clicked her tongue hoping he or she would come.

''Here doggy? Tik tsik''.
His ears perked and his head turned in her direction. Was she adressing him? He wasn't sure. Surely not. No human ever wanted anything to do with him. They just wanted that stinky dog gone. He continued to stare at her, and then he looked around. There were no other dogs in the area that she she could be speaking to. He looked back at her, and his tail started to wag a bit. She wasn't his old human, and she wasn't Sadie, but she seemed nice. He needed a home. Maybe he could be happy with her.
He stood up in the bench and jumped down. He made his way to her outstretched hand, albeit a bit cautiously. This seemed too good to be true. He soon got closer to her and sniffed of her hand. She smelled of other dogs, but that didn't bother him as long as they weren't mean to him. He looked up at her and wagged his tail slowly. Would she be his new human?

Stella watched as the dog looked at her, she could tell he was not sure whether to come or not. One reason she called to him was that he reminded her a lot of the first dog he got, same size, both male, and he even looked as sweet as her old dog. Stella smiled though as he started to come towards her. The beagle then sniffed her out stretched hand. Stella slowly reached in her other pocked and pulled out a cookie. Ya they where for her girls but it seemed this little guy needed it more. Stella loved the way his tailed moved from side to side. With a giggle she present him the small milk cookie, hoping he would take it. ''Come one boy, its for you'', Stella could here her two girls playing not too far from here, but they seemed to be way to pre-occupier to pay attention to their new brother. Yes Stella wanted to take him home.. but would he like her? Would he come?

If you could only see the way she loves me, then maybe you would understand. Why I feel this way about our love and what I must do. If you could only see how blue her eyes could be when she says... When she says she loves me...
Jay had taken his time leaving work that day. Why? Jay was rather downer today. Why? Well someone he wished he could forget walked into his mind brought up by a song played at the barn. His long limbs moved his thin but muscluar body towards his green truck. His new dog partner was in the passanger seat as usual. He smiled, the dog always jumped in through the window it seemed. He opened the door and pulled the keys out of his back pocket and slumped back into his bench seat. Putting the keys into the starter and turned it. The truck jumped to life and Jay inhaled deeply he needed to find himself someone to fill the hole even if it was a best friend. Guy or girl. He put his hand over the wheel and lit up a smoke and started to drive out. He heard a song on the radio, If you could only see by tonic. He growled in his throat getting somewhat mad but he didn't show it. Jay rarely ever showed he was mad. He couldn't let this shit get to him. He held the steering wheel and pulled hard off his cigerette. Inhaling deep and holding it before letting it slowly float from him mouth and nose as he sped along the road. The canine had it's head out the window. Well you got your reasons, and you've got your lies. And you've got your minipulations, that cut me down to size. Say you love but you dont, you love but you wont. If you could only see the way... she loved.. me.' He sang with the song and sighed loudly looking at the road as the lines slid under his truck. He couldn't drive any longer, he pulled off into the parking lot of a dog park. He opened his truck door and took the keys out with him putting them in his back pocket. The medium sized canined jumped out the passanger window and ran off somewhere. What could you expect for a dog you picked up off the streets? He always came back anyway. Jay sighed looking around he didn't know many people that came here. But who knew right? Jay was outgoing. He spotted a female, a few other dogs and a beagle. Jay walked towards them, he tilted his head at the female. 'You know what, I have a stray dog as a pet and... well they tend to be trouble starters... This one looks like he gets into all sorts of good fun' He said with a rather gentle tone which was Jay's way of hiding himself from being mad, hiding emotion. That was what Jay did until he felt like he wouldn't be hurt again then he let down his harder outter shell that was fine with him it was kind of how he always was. He started at the small dog he was so cute. Jay loved small dogs but big dogs was where he learnt most of his vet skills. Jay took the liberty of sitting down in the grass like a child and watching the duo. [/blockquote]
