It's definitely a good thing Rae leaves me out with Jinx and Cobe. Thought the young Golden Retriever as she wandered aimlessly through the forest. The vibrant greens brightened her mood and put some pep in her highly trained and clean step. A gentle- but chilly mind you- breeze caressed her untangled fur. Definitely a good thing. Bailey agreed with herself. It sure was lonely, even with Jinx and Cobe around. After all, Cobe just sunned himself all day while Jinx planned to cause trouble. What good were those two to a dog? None. Tongue lolling out of the side of her mouth, Bailey ambled happily through the woods. Nothing bad could happen here, the smart show dog knew her way home. Rae was silly to even think about Bailey getting into trouble. It wasn't hard to go out and come home safely. Raelyn did it everyday!

With Tank at her side, Moon was in heaven. Their steps were in unison and they were sharing jokes, talking, laughing, enjoying the other's presence. Two love struck dogs. Moon was an australian shepherd, and her mate Tank was a doberman rottweiler mix. As Moon trotted, she shared some good news. "So, I've felt movement." she said, "Not a lot, but still, movement." she said, hopeful, and happy. Tank, at her side, stopped, so his mate stopped as well. "Seriously? Already? It's only been a few weeks, m'love!" he said, astounded. "Well, that's great news!" he barked happily. Just then, his happiness shattered like glass. A scent filled his nostrils that made him bare his teeth and recoil in digust. "Humans." he snarled and lunged forward. A savage bark and an even more savage snarl was heard and Tank had disappeared behind a bush after leaping over it. Moon perked her ears and whined, taking a step forward toward the bush with worry. "Who are you?" Tank snarled at a she-dog who had smelled of human. "Why do you invade the area of which me and my love share?" he snarled. He was staring a beautiful retriever, but then again, this human pet wasn't nearly as beautiful as Moon, at least, not in Tank's eyes. "Answer me, you'll cease to exist." he warned.

Bailey was in her own, serene world where green was all she knew and only the sound of leaves rustling could be heard. Step by step she fell further into the forest, but it didn't worry her of course. Distant voices of dogs- joyful dogs at that- reached the young Golden Retriever's flaccid ears. Oh but they were no bother to her. Tail swaying gently in the breeze, Bailey kept on enjoying her sun filled glorious day. Silence. A huge bark startled the poor housedog, she flinched. A terrifying snarl erupted from the bushes quite a ways off, but on her left side. Instinctively her tail dropped and her belly brushed the ground. A startled yelp escaped her muzzle as a huge Doberman mix leaped out of the bushes toward her. Worried whining came from behind the bush, and Bailey was forced to calm down and think about it. Well what could be going on here? The female's deep brown eyes stared off into the distance, glazed over. Loud noises could do that to her. The brute snarled at her, demanding her name. Bailey recoiled away from him. Carefully recollecting herself, the house dog brought herself to her full height and raised her tail slightly. It wasn't in an imposing way, but more so a dignified submissive stance. Bailey couldn't stand conflict and arguments. The doberman mix barked at her again demanding information from her.
Regal fire flamed from deep within her. Who was he to be demanding of her who she was and why she was there? As if the dirty feral had any right. Yet again he growled at her, this time a threat. A threat! Bailey herself was stubborn and could never be told what to do from someone who had little to no importance in her world. Did he not have any manners?
"Did your mother ever teach you to mind your manners around strangers, especially a lady?"
Bailey snapped back at him. Oh yes, the purebred Goldie had been taught manners and etiquette from the day she was born.
"Threats are no way to be talking to someone you don't know."
Her growl wasn't as threatening but she didn't like to be too violent, it just wasn't proper. Bailey's tail rose to a comfortable position, not quiet dominance or agression but not submission anymore. She leveled her eyes with his, challenging him. Not to a fight, goodness no but just a simple challenge.
"I should be asking who you are, you approached me after all."

Ears lifted slightly as the male wandered toward the trees off the side roads he had been taking. Being alone got to some animals, BlackBird had been pretty good, being kind and accepting he tended to make friends with everyone, unless of course they were male and rude. Ears flattened at the thought. Black eyes wandered around as he stepped over holes and fallen trees. His nostrils wide to the scent of many animals. He didn't spook over it it wasn't worth his time to spook.
Hooves stepped on twigs causing them to snap and echo through the forest. His mind was silent as if it would be heard if he used it. Eyes were relaxed as he stepped and looked around the forest. It wasn't to bad, he had been here many a time before now. Ears lifted against and twisted in each direction to listen to the sounds of many animals that scurried under him and over him.
Eyes finally fell on a sight, 3 dogs. One seemed to be getting ganged up on. His ears lowered no no this would not do. BlackBird was the kind of horse who was about respect and kindness, as far as he was concerned, dogs and horses got along, he had never been attacked by a dog, perhaps feared by a dog but he was friendly... unless you crossed him. His eyes narrowed as he walked forward.
Ears lay flat against his skull and eyes flashed white as he walked. Nostrils peeled back as he listened to how the male spoke to the golden dog who as far as BlackBird had seen was there first and had done nothing wrong. Ears lifted then fell back again. The golden retriever spoke. She spoke reason that is. BlackBird lifted his limbs and trotted toward the three dogs. His eyes narrowed.
' That is no way to speak to a female... Don't mind me barging in but respect is kye... you and your love leave or accept peace and stay... There is no need to be so hostile to a dog you did come forth too..'
Invisible brow frowned as eyes hardened, the scent of humans ran through his nostrils, he didn't really care, humans didn't shoot horses around here and to be honest he could out run any human, he had never been caught ever thats why he didn't care, he could hear perfect and see precise. But this would not do.
He lifted his front limb and slapped the ground defensively, call it stupid but he didn't know the golden retriever but he had met many good canines in the past why turn a blind eye to one who had done nothing wrong and was now being put under the light. Sure she could handle herself but he wouldn't let the chance of attack go unseen. He looked to the golden and nickered before looking to the other two, ears flattened again he stood tall and thick. Mean looking, he was a tough looking animal. He wouldn't back down and it wouldn't take much to end this dogs life.
